The Vision: Bridging the Gap in Healthcare
The "Health Equity for All" initiative, led by the Ramnath Prasad Institute of Higher Education (RPIHE) Foundation, is a mission to democratize high-quality medical services in rural India. The SRP Medical College & Hospital (SRPMCH) is envisioned not just as a medical facility, but as a beacon of hope for Jamui, Bihar—a region that has historically faced significant challenges in accessing specialized healthcare. Our goal is to ensure that quality treatment is a fundamental right, regardless of a patient’s socio-economic standing.
The Critical Need: Why Jamui, Bihar?
Jamui is one of the most underserved regions in terms of healthcare infrastructure. Currently, residents are forced to travel vast distances to major cities like Patna or Kolkata for critical care, leading to delayed treatments, increased mortality, and immense financial strain on families. By establishing a 700-bed facility in the heart of this region, we aim to eliminate the "geographical tax" paid by the rural poor and bring world-class clinical expertise to their doorstep.
The Project: SRP Medical College & Hospital
Proposed by the RPIHE Foundation, this project is designed to be a state-of-the-art center for medical excellence. The project encompasses:
700-Bed Tertiary Care Hospital: Featuring advanced departments in Cardiology, Oncology, Maternal & Child Health, and Emergency Medicine.
Medical Education & Research: A college dedicated to training the next generation of physicians and researchers, addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in Bihar.
Technology-Driven Care: Integration of telemedicine and digital health records to reach the most remote corners of the district.
